There is no better way to improve stability with your Glock pistol than converting it with a compatible MCK, or micro conversion kit.
These drop-in ready platforms require no modifications to the handgun whatsoever, and can instantly transform handling and accuracy even at extended ranges.
Here’s what you need to know about upgrades to the Gen 2 MCK over the previous generation.
About the Upgrades to the Gen 2 MCK
The Gen 2 MCK for Glock pistols features several updates over the first Generation MCK. Among these upgrades are:
- Compatibility with a new extended stabilizer (see details below) which allows the Gen 2 MCK to be fired in the folded and locked position.
- A redesign of the rear door. The new rear door design extends back an additional 15 degrees, making it easier to insert and remove the handgun. Note: zero will shift when installing or removing the pistol, so you will need to recalibrate your sights or optics after doing so.
- The Gen 2 model is designed to accommodate suppressor height sights for faster, superior target acquisition, sight alignment, and overall accuracy.
- An upgraded charging handle design that facilitates better, faster manual cycling, even with gloves or in the dark.
- The top pick rail over the “receiver” is made of aluminum, enhancing durability, longevity, strength, and overall utility.
- The Gen 2 MCK is compatible with CAA’s new brass catcher, which can simplify brass casing management at the range (great for complying with range rules as well as for those that keep their brass and reload).
- The new Gen 2 model features an upgraded magazine holder that features a mag catch and release for security as well as fast, easy access.
In addition to these upgrades, there are other strong selling points of these micro conversion kits:
- These micro conversion kits are suppressor and compensator ready (up to 1.38” diameter).
- They require no modifications, adjustments, or disassembly of compatible handgun models. Simply install the Glock, lock into place, and go.
- Top and side Picatinny rails make it easy to mount MCK accessories like thumb rests, lights, lasers, and other shooting accessories.
- They are ambidextrous, allowing fast and easy handling for right and left-handed shooters, and can improve accuracy even at extended ranges.
- The MCK design features an exposed slide release for direct contact and easier manual charges.

It is important to note that the Gen 2 MCK for Glock pistols does not fit the Gen 5 G22 or G23. It is also not compatible with Gen 1 and Gen 2 Glocks, or with Glocks that have compensated barrels or RTF models. This MCK is also not compatible with Polymer80 builds - but there are MCKs that are.
What About MCK Stabilizers?
The Gen 2 MCK for Glock pistols is compatible with 5 different stabilizer and stock options, all of which lend a different form of handling to the platform.
They are compatible with both short and extended stabilizers, which are designed to enable firing of the platform with one hand. These are non-NFA items.
They are also compatible with a Gen 2 stabilizer made of high-impact polymer and TPE. These are also non-NFA items.
In addition, these Gen 2 MCK platforms for Glock pistols are also compatible with two stocks, the original NFA stock and the Gen 2 NFA stock, both of which are intended to be fired from the shoulder, offering greater stability, recoil management, and accuracy. They are both NFA items.
Here for MCK Accessories?
One of the great selling points of the Gen 2 MCK - or any micro conversion kit for that matter - is that they are expandable with shooting accessories.
The fact that they are designed with top and side Pic rails makes it easy to customize them with a wide range of different shooting accessories, but there are also many MCK accessories that were specifically designed for these platforms.
We carry a wide range of MCK accessories including thumb rests, slings, integral front flashlights, glass breakers, lasers, stocks, charging handles, brass catchers, red dot sights, handle kits, and much more.
See our collection of micro conversion kit accessories for more details. Half of the enjoyment of configuring your Glock with an MCK comes from the endless expandability and versatility the chassis offers.
