The MCS Complete Upper is built around a 7.5-inch 5.56 NATO barrel machined from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel in a contour profile, with a pistol-length gas system and a Phosphate finish. It is paired with a 7-inch ACE-20 Series free-float M-LOK handguard and ships with a complete bolt carrier group and a mil-spec quality M4 charging handle, so the builder receives the core components of a working upper in one package. The short barrel keeps the front end compact and quick to handle, and the 1:7 twist rate suits a wide range of bullet weights in 5.56 NATO.
