One-Point Slings
One-point slings are fundamentally very different from two-point slings in that two-point slings are designed to make it easier to carry the platform. One-point slings are designed for retention.
So, if your CAA MCK jams or you run out of ammo and need to draw a different sidearm, that’s what the one-point sling is for. And in that event, it does deliver a lot of value.
Thumb Rests
Thumb rests are patently a fairly boring CAA MCK accessory, but in terms of how much good they do for handling, they’re pretty indispensable.
They’re also very affordable as far as MCK accessories go, and easy to install. But they will add an indexing point to the platform and considerably improve control, so they’re very worth it.
Integral Front Flashlights
There is a saying: “What you can’t see can kill you,” and it is unfortunately true. The best hedge against that is to be able to see in the dark, and that is precisely what these integral front flashlights for MCK platforms can offer you.
Plus, they’re also practical for general utility. There is a reason that every list of EDC gear has a flashlight somewhere on it, and generally high up the list. Every good platform should be equipped with a WML, or weapon-mounted light, and that’s just what this offers.
MCK Glass Breakers
This is somewhat of a niche MCK accessory, but if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to break glass and you don’t want to wing it (or damage anything) you’ll be glad you had an MCK glass breaker.
Like thumb rests, they’re not particularly exciting as far as MCK accessories go, but they do offer a lot of value when it comes time to use them.
Stocks
One of the greatest value-added features of a CAA MCK is that they are more stable than a plain handgun, giving you an enhanced ability to shoot more accurately at extended ranges and control recoil.
Of course, this is better when the platform is equipped with a stock, and there are stocks that you can easily use to upgrade your CAA MCK. All in all, this makes these among the most impactful of all CAA MCK accessories, if not the most impactful.
Brass Catchers
Not everyone will have a use case for a CAA MCK brass catcher, but for those that do a lot of high-volume target shooting at ranges that require you to clean up your own brass, a brass catcher is indispensable.
Brass catchers are also highly useful for any shooters that reload, since they keep brass off the ground, preventing damage and making it easier to keep spent brass clean.
Extended Charging Handles
The ergonomics and controls of CAA MCK platforms are pretty good, but high-stress situations can understandably complicate manual cycling.
Extended charging handles like the ones mentioned here will make it easier and quicker to cycle the action, especially in high-stress situations, or in the dark, cold, or when you are wearing heavy gloves.
Red Dot Sights
This one’s not a dedicated CAA MCK accessory since a red dot sight can be mounted to any firearm platform that’s compatible with it, but in terms of value, an RDS can enhance the performance of your MCK-equipped handgun in ways few other accessories mentioned here can.
A red dot sight will free you from issues of sight radius and enable more reflexive shooting. All in all they can be highly practical MCK accessories.
Backup Sights
Two is one and one is none, and even though a red dot sight can offer a lot of value, you can’t forfeit a good pair of iron sights.
Red dot sights require batteries, the glass can get fogged up or coated with dust, and a whole bunch of other issues. That won’t happen with backup iron sights. Iron sights need no batteries, are dustproof, fogproof, and highly resistant to shock.
Plus, they fold out of the way until you need them.
