The CAA Gearup Micro Roni for Glock Pistols: What It Offers

The CAA Gearup Micro Roni for Glock Pistols: What It Offers

Posted by MCS GEAR UP on Jan 23rd 2024

Handguns are easy to conceal, and are light, and relatively comfortable to carry.

That’s the good. Now the bad.

They are inherently difficult to control. Being accurate (and safe) with a handgun is fundamentally more difficult than it is with a shoulder-mounted long arm.

With that said, there are platforms out there you can use to convert your handgun, with no modification needed, that would bring about a fusion of these two elements.

That is, you could reap some of the benefits of firing a shoulder-mounted arm, without compromising on all of the advantages of utilizing a pistol or a pistol caliber, like 9mm.

One of the best of the options out there for this purpose is Command Arms Accessories’ (CAA) Micro Conversion Kit (MCK).

If you’re a Glock shooter and are wondering what a Micro Roni for a Glock offers, look no further.

First, an Intro: What Is a Micro Roni for a Glock?

If you’ve never heard of one before, it’s actually a pretty simple thing. Basically, a Micro Roni for your Glock pistol is a chassis (platform) that converts your Glock into more of a carbine than a pistol.

At the same time, it is more like a hybrid than a true carbine, because it does not extend the barrel (although there are barrel extensions available).

There are numerous advantages to upgrading your handgun with one of these versatile platforms, which we will expand upon in the following section.

Why Should You Invest in a Micro Roni for a Glock?

                                  Micro Roni for a Glock

If you’re interested in upgrading your Glock with a Micro Roni conversion kit, here are some of the selling points, features, and advantages that one of these unique platforms offers.

For one, the Micro Roni for your Glock will require no permanent modifications to the handgun. Actually, we’ll go one step farther: it requires no modifications whatsoever to the handgun.

Your Glock is good to go the way it is (unless you’ve got something tacked onto the trigger guard or slide). If not, your stock Glock is Micro Roni-ready.

Also, no pistol disassembly is required. All you have to do is insert and secure the pistol, and you’re good to hit the range.

(Please do note, however, that whenever you remove and re-insert the pistol in the MCK, your zero will shift. As a result, you will need to sight your handgun in every time you remove it from or replace it into the MCK.)

The Micro Roni for Glock pistols is also optic ready, with a long section of Picatinny rail over the “receiver” which is ideal for mounting red dot or reflex sights, or even scopes.

On that note, there is a wide range of different MCK accessories that are expressly compatible with this and other micro conversion kits, many of which we sell here at MCS Gearup. Among the most popular MCK accessories are thumb rests, slings, brass catchers, optics, WMLs and charging handles - but there are others. Take a look at our recent blog on the most popular micro conversion kit accessories for inspiration.

That makes these platforms extremely expandable-ready and can pair with a wide range of accessories that improve handling, accuracy, and so much more.

On the note of expanding, the top of the chassis is not the only place enriched with mounting points. The left and right sides of the platform also feature adequate Pic rail mounting space for effectively any Picatinny accessories.

The design is naturally ambidextrous and is fast and easy-handling, with an ambidextrous trigger guard safety. The design of the platform also inherently improves handling, can help smaller-framed shooters absorb recoil more effectively, control muzzle flip, and improve accuracy at extended ranges, even beyond 100 yards.

It also features a right-folding stock for easy concealment and carry, making it a snap to instantly make the footprint more compact. By the way, if you’re looking for a discreet way to transport one of these platforms, check out our MCK Multi Gun Violin Case.

All in all, these platforms require you to make no modifications or adjustments to the firearm prior to use, are easy to use, have a small learning curve, and can substantially improve accuracy and handling.

If you love your Glock but wish there was a way to shoot it more comfortably and accurately without making any serious changes (or any changes, for that matter) consider upgrading with a Micro Roni for your Glock pistol.
